Today's blog post comes to us from my good friend, Sarah! Enjoy her review of Disney's Polynesian Resort!

Sarah on the Disney Dream
My name is Sarah and I am a Walt Disney World enthusiast and a life -long fanatic. I have been to Disney World countless times; my first trip as a newborn and my most recent this last spring. Disney World is my happiest place on earth and my top vacation destination. I have stayed at almost all of the Disney resorts and trust me the perks are worth it.

Disney's Polynesian Room
My favorite resort has to be the Polynesian. The atmosphere truly engulfs you from the moment you arrive. Waking up in the exotic and tropical themed, spacious rooms and suites you might mistake central Florida for the south pacific islands they were designed after. This resort makes relaxing as easy as waking up. Beyond a doubt, the Polynesian resort is a paradise. If you have extra time in your vacation, I strongly encourage you to take advantage of the entertaining and unique facilities that make the Polynesian the exceptional getaway that it is.
The white sand beaches with hammocks and coves built for two has a prime view of the Seven Seas Lagoon and Cinderella’s castle, not to mention the nightly displays of awe-inspiring fireworks at Magic Kingdom, make this lush heaven a perfect escape for romantics and honeymooners.

Gorgeous view at Disney's Polynesian Resort
Families adore this resort because there is so much fun for everyone (no pun intended with the rhyme). Two outstandingly themed and designed pools appeal to swimmers of all ages and near the swimming pool lagoon is a small playground for climbing, swinging, and sliding. Moana Mickey's fun hut features an assortment of video games and is conveniently located next to the Never Land Club House.
The Never Land Club House is a supervised activity program for kids 4-12from 4pm to midnight with a kids buffet from 6 to 8pm. Reservations are necessary and for $10 an hour your kids will have a blast while you take a night off. This club is very special to me and I have to trouble recommending it to parents. My brother and I both stayed here three times as kids and we always looked forward to it. This Peter Pan paradise is a fun place for your children to play games, watch Disney movies, and interact with children their own age. And with certified and Disney-employed child care takers, your kids are sure to have fun while being safely looked after. Over a decade ago, they had live animal interactions, I'm not sure if they still do, but how cool is that!

Ohana serves breakfast and dinner daily
The marina is in walking distance of your longhouse (the building your hotel room is located in) where you can rent pontoon boats, canopy boats, sea racers, and several types of sailboats for a relaxing and re-energizing ride around the Seven Seas Lagoon. Fishing excursions can also be arranged. The athletic guest staying at the Polynesian should take advantage of the jogging trails that curve around the perimeter of this resort.
Even the picky eaters and the health nuts will be satisfied and left wanting more. The Kona Cafe has, in my opinion, the best coffee. 'Ohana is vibrantly themed and serves all you can eat family style food where the wait staff and entertainment will leave you breathless, full, and happy. If you've made reservations for breakfast don't forget your autograph books and cameras because Lilo and Stitch have been known to show up for a bite to eat! If you're in a hurry to get to a park opening, in the mood for a late night snack, or tropical food is just a little too adventurous for you, Captain Cook's is the place for you. It’s open 24 hours a day and serves stand up, good quality, and taste bud enticing food. The aloha pork sandwich is the best BBQ I have ever had in any Restaurant and it also serves food that picky, little taste buds will recognize and love (like the Mickey Mouse waffle and mac and cheese).

Tonga Toast from Captain Cooks
Even if you don't choose to stay at the Polynesian, I urge you to stop in for breakfast and get some Tonga Toast, Banana-stuffed sourdough bread rolled in cinnamon sugar. It may sound like more of a dessert rather than a nutritious meal to start your day, but it has fruit in it right? It truly is heaven on a plate and it's only found here at the Polynesian.
For the 21 and older crowd visiting this oasis, there are two spots to try tropical, refreshing drinks inspired by the setting they're served at. Sporting events are shown on big screen TVs at Tambu and the Barefoot Bar adjoining the swimming pool offering appetizers and specialty drinks.
Any Magic Kingdom or EPCOT fans in your party? Well, the Polynesian is just minutes away when you take the monorail.
From the moment you arrive on Disney's Magical Express (free ground transportation to and from the airport) to the very sad moment you have to leave, the Polynesian resort, along with its always incredible staff make your vacation truly magical which is why the Polynesian resort has my vote for best ambiance and favorite on-property resort at Walt Disney World.
Thanks Sarah for this fabulous review of Disney's Polynesian Resort! We look forward to more guest blog posts from you!
