Let the Memories Be-AR-gin

Duffy the Disney Bear came into existence when Minnie Mouse, in 2004, sewed a special cuddly teddy bear as a gift for Mickey to take on his world travels.   The story goes that Mickey traveled the globe with Duffy as his trusty companion.

Duffy, the Disney Bear is for sale at Epcot theme park and select locations at the Walt Disney World Resort. Since Duffy is exclusive to Disney Parks, he is not available for sale online. Won't you make Duffy your travel companion too?

Epcot at the Walt Disney World Resort is extra magical this time of year! Both Future World and World Showcase (which are the two sections of Epcot) are decorated for the Holidays.  The Future World is decorated with lots of greenery, lights and futuristic decorations.  Moving into World Showcase, each country is decorated for the Holidays Around the World.  The decorations are based on the typical decorations from that country.  It is a great way to learn about other countries and cultures.  Many of these countries even have entertainment based on their celebrations of the seasons including storytellers and Disney Characters.

The most popular entertainment at Epcot for the season is the Candlelight Processional in the American Adventure.  This amazing show is included with your paid admission into Epcot.  This show starts off with hundreds of singers with candles walking into the theater.  It is just beautiful.  There is even a 50 piece orchestra.  During the show, there is a celebrity that reads the story of Christmas.

During the show, there are lots of beautiful songs.  It is one of the most popular shows during the Holiday Season.  Since it is so popular, seating fills up quickly.  Plan on arriving to the designated line in the American Adventure at least 1 hour prior to showtime.  You do not have to sit in the theater to get a great view.  Most locals and Annual Passholders, find a spot to sit outside of the theater along the white gate.  This way, you can grab a quick dinner and then just sit and wait for the show instead of standing in an hour line to maybe or maybe not get a seat.  Another popular way to be guaranteed a seat for the Candlelight Processional is by booking the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package.  You can enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the popular Epcot Restaurants with this package and you will guaranteed a seat for one of the shows.  The seating for the Candlelight Processional is free, but you do have to pay for your sit down meal with this package.

For the Holiday Season, be sure to enjoy the beauty of the Candlelight Processional and the Holidays Around The World at Epcot. To purchase your Disney World Theme Park tickets including tickets into Epcot, visit us Here

Two new restaurants have recently opened at Epcot at Walt Disney World!

On August 5, 2010, Via Napoli, an authentic Neapolitan pizzeria in the Italy pavilion at Epcot World Showcase opened.  Via Napoli features wood-burning ovens – and uses water from a source that most resembles the water in Naples, Italy, home of some of the world’s best pizza dough. The 300-seat pizzeria features a menu inspired by the famous pizzerias of southern Italy. The menu also features pastas, salads, sandwiches and Italian wines. During my recent visit to Walt Disney World, I had the opportunity to enjoy lunch at Via Napoli.  Let me tell you, it is very authentic to the pizza we enjoyed in Naples this summer!  I highly recommend this pizzeria.

On September 16, 2010, E
pcot has welcomed “La Hacienda” and “La Cantina” de San Angel – two restaurants under one roof at the Mexico pavilion. Overlooking World Showcase Lagoon, the lakeside table service and quick service restaurants feature mouth-watering, authentic Mexican specialties and refreshing margaritas amid décor reflecting the colorful traditions of Mexico.  This restaurant also boasts great views of Epcot's fireworks spectacular, Illuminations. I have a dinner reservation scheduled for my next magical visit to Disney World in March 2011.  I can't wait to enjoy some good Mexican eats while watching Illuminations!

Both Via Napoli and La Hacienda are on the Disney Dining Plan, each requiring 1 table service dining credit.  Reservations are strongly recommended.
